The last app is SnagIt. The screenshots can be captured by using the hotkeys, and you can capture the whole screen or a particular part of the screen. Once the images are edited, they can be easily shared online, upload to FTP servers, Microsoft products and cloud-based services such as Google Drive and Dropbox.

A bug has been discovered in Apple's macOS Image Capture app that needlessly eats up potentially gigabytes of storage space when transferring photos from an iPhone or iPad to a Mac. The latest version of Image Capture is unknown on Mac Informer. It is a perfect match for Plugins & Addons in the System Tools category. The app is developed by Apple Inc. And its user rating is 3.8 out of 5. One shouldn't have to. I tried to use these features for a while but now I have mostly given up and use it for the one task of selecting an area of the screen to save as an image and then open that saved image in a different image editor to do the markup. That's a shame because with some UX changes they could do it all in the one tool. MacOS has plenty of wonderful pre-installed apps, among them the Image Capture app. Image Capture is low-profile but it surely packs a punch when it comes to features and benefits. After connecting a scanner to your Mac, use Image Capture to scan images. If your scanner has an automatic document feeder, you can scan several pages at once. If you have a flatbed scanner, you can scan multiple images, straighten any that were placed crooked on the scan bed, and save each image to its own file.
Connect your scanner to your computer, then turn on your scanner.
In the Image Capture app on your Mac, select your scanner in the Devices or Shared list.
